Content Development Internship

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are positive, forward thinking people always looking for ways to not only grow ourselves, but also help others prosper as well.

As part of the Content Development Team, you would be working on a team creating content for topics important to students including dorm life, social issues, and success factors. The team will expand upon success factors to create and develop learning points for students to consider when it comes to life decisions, academic decisions, and career decisions.

This role is similar to the Writing Internship – you’re a great writer and you’d like a larger platform to share your work. But it differs in that it focuses on special projects, reports and training content. This is project-focused and requires a larger chunk of time on a single project vs. writing several articles or blog posts over time. It may typically require research and working alongside others on the project.

DUTIES (can include but are not limited to):

• Researching a particular topic in published sources

• Interviewing people who are involved in or have navigated a particular life experience

• Plan with your team to bring together all components of the project which could include: promotional materials, teaching content, video, discussion guides and follow up material

You can work on a single project of interest or make a commitment to move from one great project to the next and provide continuity in delivery of our content.

REQUIREMENTS

• The candidate should possess a good understanding of the social media universe

• Work minimum of 5 hours per week

• Possess clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

• Friendly and able to collaborate well with others in development of concepts and content

• Willing and able to meet with fellow team members on IM and videoconferences

• Ability to work independently in deadline-sensitive environment

If you think you may be interested, please apply and include two writing samples of your choice.
